I bought an Acer Emachne D620 last year, March 2009, in Acrotech Computer Store at Robinsons Place Iloilo. The machine, sold at Php23,000, has an acceptable specification fo my needs. The following is my laptop specification:
-AMD Athlon 64 Processor
-1GB + 2GB DDR2 SDRAM
--256MB ATI RAdeon Video Adapter
-160GB IDE HDD
-14" LCD, web cam, 2ports USB, 100Mbps FE, DVD Combo Drive...
I installed dual OS in it, with WIndows XP SP2 for 30GB partition, Windows ViVista Ultimate for another 30GB, and Data and Files for the rest of the partition.
I contiously used the PC for almost 6 months with no problem with my software setup. Until the battery problem I encountered.
The battery is draining fast. At first month, the battery runs for 2-3 hours. Then lately, it only runs for a couple of minutes then the system is in its standby mode.
I know that it is still under its warranty but I can not bring te PC to the store because I'm still using it and I have a lot of files stored in it.
Another bad thing is that the store doeds not provide any service unit if I will bring back my PC for service.
Right now the PC is i its 1 year of use and it still maintatin its battery problem.
